Social encounters are important to strengthen the bond in groups. Schola Cantorum Jubilate strongly believes that apart from regular rehearsals and performances, it has to leave space for more quality time together.
On Christmas eve, they kept an annual appointment and met in the afternoon to exchange greetings and gifts. The Leader delivered a speech and gave hints about forthcoming events.
Following the Christmas services, they also organised a Christmas dinner on Thursday 27th December at Maji Restaurant in Victoria. It was also a farewell dinner for Fabian Cini (ass. Director) who will be starting a new adventure abroad.
Moreover, the choristers went for an afternoon walk on Sunday 30th December. It happened to be a sunny day, a perfect one for an afternoon walk. They climbed the hill of Ta' Ġordan where stunning views of Gozo can be seen. There is also the lighthouse which previously served as a guide to passing-by ships. Later they visted also Wied il-Mielaħ at Għarb. A tea party followed at the Director's home with warm coffee, tea and obviously some delicious Christmas cake and sweets.
