Catherine Grech and Jason Saliba asked Schola Cantorum Jubilate to animate their Wedding Mass. It was held at 5.30pm at the Xewkija Rotunda and was officiated by Mgr. Joseph Attard.
The bride was welcomed in church with Soprano Marouska Attard interpreting Schubert’s ‘Ave Maria’. The other hymns and pieces performed by the Schola Cantorum Jubilate were: ‘Allelulia’, ‘Panis Angelicus’ (Franck), ‘Sanctus’ and ‘Agnus Dei’ (Oltrasi), ‘Il-Mulej qam mill-imwiet’ (Portelli), ‘Jesu Joy of Men’s desiring’ (Bach), ‘Bless the Lord’ (Taize’) and ‘Jubilate Deo’ (Portelli). The choir was accompanied by members of the Jubilate Ensemble. The ceremony ended with the organist playing ‘The Wedding March’ by Felix Mendelsshon.
For this new family, it was surely a remarkable day. Schola Cantorum Jubilate extends its sincere greetings to the couple.
