Dorothy Vella and Eman Agius got married at the Basilica of Blessed Virgin of Ta’ Pinu in Għarb. The mass was officiated by Mgr. Carmelo Refalo, Archpriest of the Basilica of Xagħra, from where the groom hails.
The bride walked along the aisle of this Romanesque-style jewel of Gozo accompanied by her father while Soprano Marouska Attard interpreted Schubert’s ‘Ave Maria’.
The choir, directed by Ms. Attard and accompanied by Joseph Camilleri on the Johannes-Monarch organ, interpreted other pieces amongst which: ‘Ave Verum’ (Mozart), ‘The Lord Bless you and keep you’ (Rutter) and ‘Jubilate Deo’ (Portelli).
