Today, Schola Cantorum Jubilate officially launched the eleventh edition of ‘Carols by Candlelight’ by a press event.
The organisers together with the main sponsor met the journalists at ‘Vini e Capricci’ (Wines and Whims) within Abraham’s Complex in Xewkija, Gozo.
Schola Cantorum Jubilate gave a concert yesterday at Saint Paul’s Anglican Cathedral in Valletta. The concert preceded a three-day Master Class with Glen Dempsey, an organ scholar at Saint George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, where he also conducts and accompanies the world famous choir. Choristers had the unique opportunity to imbue from the exceptional English choral tradition.
Schola Cantorum Jubilate had the last wedding service for the summer 2014. In fact, they animated the Nuptial Mass of Renée Sultana and Pierre Vassallo La Rosa at the Basilica of Maria Bambina in Xagħra.
One can almost say, that it now got into tradition that Schola Cantorum Jubilate animates the ‘Te Deum’ High Mass in the morning preceeding the village feast.
With a Basilica fully decorated for the village feast of the Nativity of Our Lady, Daniela Sultana and Richard Grech joined in matrimony. The groom, is a close collaborator of SCJ.
