Schola Cantorum Jubilate animated the Wedding Mass of Valerie Said and Victor Agius at the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul in Nadur. Mass started at 5pm and was officiated by Mgr. Arc. Jimmy Xerri, the newly installed archpriest. The Bride was welcomed in church by Marouska Attard who interpreted Schubert's ‘Ave Maria'. The other pieces to follow were: ‘Allelulia' (Taize'), ‘Ave Verum Corpus' (Mozart), ‘Sanctus' (Oltrasi), ‘Il-Mulej qam mill-imwiet' (Portelli), ‘Agnus Dei' (Oltrasi), ‘Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring' (Bach), ‘Bless the Lord' (Taize') and finally ‘Tu es Petrus' a 5 voci (Perosi). After signing the Marriage registry, members of the Jubilate Chamber Orchestra (Jacob Portelli - organ, Charleen Caruana - violin and Naomi Attard - flute) who accompanied the choir, interpreted Mendelssohn's ‘Wedding March'.
