n occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Coronation of the Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Ta' Pinu, a concert was held at the National Shrine. The Three Attard – sacred concert started at 7.30pm. Though these three musicians bear the surname of Attard, they are not related. Their only common ground is music and Schola Cantorum Jubilate. While pianist Stephen Attard is the eldest and carries a favorable reputation, Marouska is also well known in the local musical scene. She is a soprano and Schola Cantorum Jubilate's Director. Philip Attard, apart being one of the bass cantores, is an upcoming and promising saxophonist. During the soirée, Marouska interpreted ‘Quia Respecit from Magnificat in D ' (Bach), ‘Is-Sliema' (Portelli), ‘Virgine tutto amor' (Durante), ‘Ave Maria' (Caccini) and ‘Lonely they kneel' (Handel). On the other hand Philip, on the saxophone interpreted: ‘Aria' (Bozza), ‘Adoration' (Borowski), ‘Allelulia' from Exultate Jubilate (Mozart), ‘Ave Maria' (Gounod). During this same concert, Fr. Edward Vella read an article by Prof. Joe Galea which narrated the story of seventy-five years ago.
