Today happens to be the 1st anniversary since the ordination of priesthood of Fr. Anthony Bajada, Fr. Joseph Curmi and Fr. Richard N. Farrugia. One year ago, Schola Cantorum Jubilate animated the liturgy at the Gozo Cathedral and later in July 2009, animated the First Mass of Fr. Richard Farrugia. During the 11am mass, Fr. Richard commemorated the anniversary and once again Schola Cantorum Jubilate animated. The choir performed pieces which Fr. Richard has at heart, particularly pieces by Bartolucci. The pieces performed were: ‘Sacerdos in aeternum’ (Plain Chant), alternating with Dixit Dominus (Perosi) ‘Allelulia’ (Taize’), ‘O Sacrum Convivium’ (Bartolucci), ‘Qaddis’ (Portelli), ‘Adoro Te Devote’ (Bartolucci) and finally ‘Christus Vincit’. Actually Fr. Richard is furthering his studies in Rome in moral theology.
