Carolling-Christmas-Poster

“Christmas is not Christmas without any ... carols”, at least for us at Schola Cantorum Jubilate. For this reason we will be celebrating next Christmas by the event CAROLLING CHRISTMS to be held on Friday 27th December at San Lawrenz Parish Church at 7.30pm.

Coming from ten years of successful editions of Carols by Candlelight and after winning The Silver Medal Award for Sacred Music in the Malta International Choir Festival, the Schola thought presenting something different yet just as special – this to thank all its faithful supporters and to show gratitude to San Lawrenz Parish for presenting the Schola Cantorum the Golden Palm Award – an award given to individuals or musical organizations for success in their achievements.

The Schola Cantorum will join forces with the brass ensemble – the BrassTubes, who will give a different twist to some of the most popular Christmas carols alongside less popular ones in order to make this Christmastide concert a mesmerizing musical experience. Mark Gauci together with Marouska Attard, who at present is following a Masters degree in Choral Conducting, will conduct the choir. Marouska will also be our soloist next to Albert Buttigieg. Together with the organist Joseph Camilleri and the brass ensemble, they will render special some beautiful solo Christmas repertoire.

Everybody is invited and admission is free. We look forward to see you there, Christmas Carolling with us to make this a really successful musical experience.
