holy thursdaySchola Cantorum Jubilate’s first appointment during the Paschal Triduum at the National Shrine of Ta’ Pinu, was on Holy Thursday. On this day the Church commemorates the Last Supper of Our Lord before entering into a three day mourning period. The choir was under the direction of Marouska Attard and Joseph Camilleri, accompanied on the Organ.

Schola Cantorum Jubilate performed the Oltrasi’s ‘Missa Cantate Domino’, ‘If ye loved me’ (Tallis) at the introit and ‘Ubi Caritas’ (Duruflé) during the washing of the feet. The ‘O Sacrum Convivium’ (Bartolucci) was sung for the offertory and ‘O Salutaris Hostia’ (Bartolucci) during communion. The choir sang ‘Pange Lingua’ in plain chant, as the celebrant placed the Holy Eucharist at the altar of repose for the adoration of the faithful.
