Schola Cantorum Jubilate animated the 11am Easter High Mass at the Basilica of Xagħra which was officiated by Mgr. Carmelo Refalo.
For the introit, the choir sang joyfully ‘Haec Dies’ (Zelenka) to announce the mystery of salvation. The repertoire included Oltarsi’s ‘Missa Cantate Domino’ and pieces by Tallis and Liberto.
This morning liturgy included the rite of baptism that was administered on newborn Krista Refalo. Joseph Camilleri accompanied the choir on the church organ.
