The San Lawrenz Local Council organised an activity ‘Swejjaq’ in the village square that was recently upgraded and refurbished as part of their project of embellishment of the village. ‘Swejjaq’, a sort of open market was organised with the support of the locals and NGOs present in this Gozitan village.

There were various stalls selling local products and delicatessen. Others were selling hand made products like special greeting cards and costume jewellery. There was also a kids' area and a show of vintage cars. Special tours were held in the Parish Church which hosts particular artefacts created by locals like artist Abraham Gatt.

Schola Cantorum Jubilate was asked to give a recital of thirty minutes as a special treat to the attendees. SCJ interpreted various secular pieces which amused the audience.
