After the success of the musico-cultural trip in Rome and Assisi of 2007, Schola Cantorum Jubilate organized its next trip…this time to Austria. The choristers, together with some friends of the Schola and members from the Citadel Video Communications, spent 8 days in Austria. They visited Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Melk and Göttweig. Apart from the cultural tours around these cities, the choir performed in renowned venues like: St. Stephen's Cathedral (Vienna), St. Peter's Church (Vienna), Old Cathedral of Linz, Mirabell Gardens (Salzburg), Haus der Musik (Vienna), Göttweig Monastery, Melk Abbey and at Schonbrunn Palace and Chapel. The choir met also prominent people like Martin Heller, the Artistic Director of Linz09, Doris Trinker (Tourism Board of Vienna) and perhaps the most important meeting was with Cardinal Christoph Schönborn.
