le="text-align: justify;">The Diocese of Gozo joins the European countries and celebrates today ‘Pro-life Day'. Luca Borg, son of former choir member Luana and nephew of Choir Director Marouska Attard and Leader Stefan Attard, received the sacrament of Baptism. Mass started at 6.30pm and was officiated by H. E. Mgr. Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Ta' Pinu. The choir performed: ‘Sicut Cervus' (Palestrina), ‘Kyrie Elison' (Oltrasi), ‘Allelulia' (Gregorian Chant with arrangement by Frisina), ‘Sanctus' (Zardini), ‘Agnus Dei' (Oltrasi), ‘Ave Verum Coprus' (Frisina) and ‘Jubilate Deo' (Portelli). During the offerings, Marouska Attard interpreted Caccini's ‘Ave Maria' since the liturgy was being celebrated in such a devotional Marian Sanctuary. Moreover, during the rite of baptism, Mro. Stephen Attard played the ‘Veni Creator', a solemn invocation for the Holy Spirit.
