Schola Cantorum Jubilate animated the Wedding Mass of one of its members, Janice Gatt (alto) and Alessio Camilleri. Mass started at 5pm and was officiated by Mgr. Arc. Carmelo Refalo at the Basilica of Marija Bambina in Xagħra. The bride was welcomed in church by Georgina Gauci interpreting Gounod's ‘Ave Maria'. The ‘Missa Cantata Domino' by Giuseppe Oltrasi was performed. The other pieces which followed were: ‘Allelulia' and Acclamation (Portelli), ‘Allelulia' (Gabrieli) after the wedding rite, ‘Ave Verum Corpus' (Mozart), ‘Il-Mulej qam mill-imwiet' (Portelli), ‘Make me a Channel of your peace' ( Temple ) and ‘Regina Coeli' (Bartolucci). The choir was accompanied by the Jubilate Chamber Orchestra which played also Mendelssohn's ‘Wedding March'. Trumpeter Joseph Xerri was even accompanied by Stephen Attard on the organ and played Trumpet Voluntaries by Clarke and Purcell.
