On Easter Day, mass is celebrated with great solemnity since it is the greatest feast for the Roman Catholic Church. Schola Cantorum Jubilate animated the 11am mass at the Basilica of Marija Bambina of Xagħra. Can. Joseph Sultana led the ceremony. Jacob Portelli accompanied the choir on the Church organ. The choir performed the ‘Missa de Angelis' (Zardini) set in four voices alternating with the assemblea who participates with the Gregorian chant. The other hymns were: ‘Haec Dies', a new composition by Paul Portelli, the Psalm 117 (Portelli), the Paschal Allelulia and versetto (Portelli), ‘Vidi aquam' (Frisina), ‘L-Ikel tal-Ħajja' (Holst), ‘Amen', ‘Pater Noster' (Gregorian Chant), ‘Sicut Cervus' (Palestrina), ‘Ir-Rgħaj u s-Sid Tiegħi' (arr. Buhagiar) and finally ‘Regina Coeli' by Bartolucci who is maestro perpetuo della Cappella Sistina.
