The world today commemorates Workers' Day. The church also marks this feast, best known as St. Joseph’s workers day. Archpriest Mgr. Joseph Sultana, on behalf of the Rev. Chapter invited Schola Cantorum Jubilate to animate a con-celebration marking St. Joseph’s feast which is also the co-patron of the Għarb parish chruch. The community of Għarb was also celebrating the installation of a new canon priest in their colligiate chapter. H.E Mgr. Mario Grech appointed Mgr. Guzepp Zammit who also lead today’s con-celebration with other priests and members of this older chapter in Gozo ecclesical church. The choir saluted Mgr. Guzepp Zammit with the motet 'Tu es Sacerdos' by Fr. Michael D'Amato. For the introit the Schola Cantorum performed portelli’s Jubilate Deo follwed by a new rehersed kyrie and a gloria composed by G. B. Campodonico from the mass Pueri Chorales . During the offerings the choir sang Holst’s hymn L-Ikel tal-Hajja. Portelli’s moving a cappella Sanctus was sang while during communion the choir performed ir-Rghaj u s-Sid tieghi. This con-celebration ended with the marian easter plainchant of the Regina Ceoli.
