George and Maria Farrugia invited Schola Cantorum Jubilate to animate the Thanksgiving Mass for their forty years of marriage. The mass was held at the Basilica of Maria Bambina, Xagħra at 11am and was officiated by their son Fr. Richard Farrugia who happens to be celebrating his 3rd anniversary of priesthood. The choir performed: ‘The Lord Bless you and keep you’ (Rutter), ‘Allelulia’ (Taize’), ‘O Salutaris Hostia’ (Portelli), ‘Sanctus’ (Portelli), ‘Il-Mulej qam mill-imwiet’ (Portelli), ‘Panis Angelicus’ (Franck) with the solo interpreted by Marouska Attard and finally ‘Ave Maria’ (Arcadelt). Organist Joseph Camilleri accompanied the choir on the church organ.
