le="text-align: justify;">Schola Cantorum Jubilate was invited to animate the funeral mass of Salvu Attard, father of chorister Karen Attard. The presente cadavere mass started at 5.30pm at the Basilica of Maria Bambina in Xagħra. It was officiated by Mgr. Carmelo Refalo, Archpriest. The choir performed the Missa Pro Defunctis (Gregorian) together with the hymns: ‘Pie Jesu’ (Fauré) interpreted by soprano Marouska Attard, ‘Allelulia’ (Taizé), ‘Sicut Cervus’ (Palestrina) and ‘O Salutaris Hostia’ (Bartolucci). Finally, as the congregation gave its last respect to Salvu, the choir interpeted ‘The Lord Bless you and keep you’ by John Rutter. Jean Noel Attard accompanied the choir on the organ.
