The Catholic Church today commemorates ‘Life day’ with the aim of fostering individual consciences, in family, in the Church and in the civil society with recognition of the value and meaning of human life. Pope John Paul II in ‘Evangelium Vitæ’ proposed this ‘Day’ to sanctify life at every stage and in every condition. Schola Cantorum Jubilate animated the Baptism Mass of Renée Bajada, daughter of Geoffrey Bajada who is a chorister. The choir, accompanied by Joseph Camilleri in the organ performed: ‘Nidħlu ferħana’, ‘Allelulia’, ‘Ave Verum Corpus’ (Mozart), ‘Sanctus’ (Portelli), ‘The Lord bless you and keep you’ (Rutter) and finally ‘Ave Maria’ (Arcadelt). Mass started at 5pm and was officiated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Bajada at the Basilica of Xagħra.
Congratulations to Family Bajada.
