On Easter Sunday Schola Cantorum Jubilate kept its appoitment of animating the 11.00 am mass at the Xagħra Basilica. During the introit procession the choir sang ‘Surrexit Christus’.
Tenor Stefan Attard interpreted the psalm (Portelli). The choir perfomed the Paschal Alleulia with the Versetto for the proclamation of the Gospel. Oltrasi’s ‘Missa Cantate Domino’ was performed during the mass, along with ‘Terra Tremuit’ (Tallis) during the Offertory, ‘Io Sono Risorto’ (Liberto) and ‘Ir-Rgħaj u s-Sid Tiegħi’ during communion. The ‘Regina Coeli’ in plain chant was sung at the end of the mass. The choir was under the direction of Marouska Attard and accompanied on the organ by Ronald Camilleri.
