SCJ choristers spent a weekend together at Porziuncola House in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq. They started with dinner and the evening prayers. After an introduction of the weekend’s programme the choristers had a short singing session led by SCJ conductor. SCJ singers ended the day by sharing some recreational moments together, and then watched the epic movie ‘Les Chorister’
On Saturday, after breakfast and the morning prayers, the group had two special sessions with Councillors Matthew Bartolo and Steve Liberi. The activities focused on improving the group communication and team-building. Later in the afternoon, they had a rehearsal in preparation for the next concert followed by an evaluation session. The evening ended with dinner and some individual exercises.
Sunday was another hectic day for the group. In the morning, they left Porziuncola House and went to St. Paul’s Church in Rabat. They animated the 10.30am mass and following it, they were ushered towards the Grotto of St. Paul and the newly refurbished museum of Wignacourt. Precious and historical artefacts are exhibited in this museum.
Before returning home, the group had lunch together at De Piro Restaurant with a spectacular view from Mdina Bastions.
