le="text-align: justify;">Schola Cantorum Jubilate animated the wedding mass of one of its members: Dianne Angie Galea (soprano) and John Portelli. The mass started at 5pm at the Basilica of Maria Bambina, Xaghra and was officiated by Mgr. Arc. Carmelo Refalo. The bride was welcomed in church by Marouska Attard interpreting the ‘Ave Maria' by Giulio Caccini. A special arrangement for the violin was composed by Paul Portelli and Jean Noel Attard, played it marvellously. The choir performed: ‘Gloria' (Oltrasi), ‘Allelulia' and the acclamation (arr. Frisina), ‘Allelulia' (Gabrieli) was sung after the wedding rite, ‘Ave Verum Corpus' (Mozart), ‘Sanctus' (Zardini), ‘Agnus Dei' (Oltrasi), ‘Kull tifhir' (Taize'), ‘Panis Angelicus' (Franck) with Marouska Attard interpreting the solo part and finally as thanksgiving, the choir performed ‘Make Me a Channel of your Peace' (Temple). All pieces were accompanied by members of the Jubilate Chamber Orchestra. Straight after the mass, the trumpeter Jason Borg and the organist Joseph Camilleri performed Purcell's ‘Trumpet Voluntary', Clarke's ‘Prince of Denmark' and finally Mendelssohn's ‘Wedding March'.
