Schola Cantorum Jubilate animated the Wedding Mass of the English couple, Clare Oak and Paul Thorpe at the Ta' Pinu National Shrine in Gharb, Gozo. The celebration started at 4.30pm and was led by Mgr. Joseph Vella Gauci. As the bride was reaching the church on a horse carriage, the ‘Bridal March' (Wagner) was played. Then Ms. Oak was welcomed in church by Marouska Attard interpreting Gounod's ‘Ave Maria'. The other hymns which followed were: ‘Allelulia' (Taize'), ‘Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring' (Bach), ‘Make me a Channel of your peace' ( arr. Temple ), ‘Eat this bread' (Taize') and ‘Jubilate Deo'. The choir was accompanied by Antoine Theuma on the organ who played also the ‘Wedding March' (Mendelssohn) at the end of the ceremony.
