Mgr. Tommaso Caputo, Nunzio Apostolico for Malta and Libya , visited the National Shrine of Ta' Pinu in occasion of the third anniversary of death of John Paul II. Schola Cantorum Jubilate welcomed Mgr. Caputo, who was accompanied by Mgr. Perici, his secretary and Mgr. Mario Grech, with the Gregorian Chant ‘Sacerdos et Pontifex'. The High Mass started at 11.30am and various Gozitan priests concelebrated. The Missa ‘Cantate Domino' was performed together with the hymns: ‘Jubilate Deo' (Portelli), the Paschal ‘Allelulia' with an arrangement by Mgr. Frisna, ‘L-Ikel tal-Hajja' (Holst), ‘O Sacrum Convivium' (Bartolucci), ‘Ir-Rghaj u s-Sid tieghi' and finally ‘Regina Coeli' (Bartolucci). After the mass, Mgr Caputo met the Schola members whom he addressed as ‘my choir'. He showed his appreciation for such an organized liturgy and for the members' commitment in being such professional and moving in their performance. He was pleased to meet again the Schola members for the third time. Schola Cantorum Jubilate had met Mgr. Caputo in Rome and lately even in Malta , in his Nunziatura.
