le="text-align: justify;">Rose Mary Spiteri and Reuben Bajada invited Schola Cantorum Jubilate to animate their wedding mass at the Basilica of Marija Bambina, Xaghra at 11am. The ceremony was officiated by Mgr. Arc. Carmelo Refalo. The bride was welcomed in church by the director and soprano Marouska Attard who interpreted Gounod's ‘Ave Maria'. The other pieces performed in SATB during the mass were: ‘Allelulia' (Taize'), ‘Ave Verum Corpus' (Mozart), ‘Sanctus' (Oltrasi), ‘Kristu qam mill-imwiet' (Portelli), ‘Agnus Dei' (Oltrasi), ‘Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring' (Bach), ‘Eat this bread' (Taize') and ‘Jubilate Deo' (Portelli). The choir was accompanied by members of the Jubilate Chamber Orchestra: Stephen Attard on the church organ, Jean Noel Attard played the violin and George Camilleri played the flute. At the end of the wedding service, the musicians played ‘The Wedding March' by Mendelssohn.
