Schola Cantorum Jubilate presented the Summit Choral Society in Malta. "Sing! Kanta! Canta!" was the theme of the 2009 international Performance Tour that brought 43 young singers from Akron, Ohio ( USA ) to the islands of Sicily and Malta from June 26 to July 6, 2009. The Summit Choral Society Touring Choir is directed by Mrs. Arlene Jacobs who has been teaching most of the singers for five or more years as part of the choral training at the Summit Choral Society. Ms. Kathy Reichenberger accompanied the choir on the piano. In Malta, the choir performed on Wednesday 1st July during a High Mass and a benefit concert at St. Helena's Church in Birkirkara, on Friday 3 rd July during a concert at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Ta' Pinu, Għarb and on Saturday 4th July at St. John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta during a High Mass.

At Ta' Pinu, the Choir attended for a Master Class by Marouska Attard, director of Schola Cantorum Jubialte. Together, they went through ‘Jesu Dulcis Memoria', a piece, recently composed for Schola Catorum Jubilate by its resident composer Paul Portelli. This piece was also performed during the concert with Marouska Attard directing the American Choir. During the concert, the SCS Touring Choir interpreted pieces by Ravel, Lauridsen, Haydn, Brahms, Gjeilo, Younger and Portelli. The last two composers were present for the concert. During the same concert, Marouska Attard interpreted two solo pieces: ‘Lonely they kneel' by Handel and ‘Is-Sliema' by Paul Portelli. The audience which laterally filled the aisle of the Basilica, remained impressed by the whole concert and by Portelli's compositions with special acknowledgement for ‘Is-Sliema'. At the end of the concert, Fr. Gerard Buhagiar presented an icon representing Our Lady of Ta' Pinu to Mrs. Jacobs. A collection was held for the church maintenance and amounted to €250. The concert was compered by Dianne Angie Portelli Galea (member of Schola Cantorum Jubilate) and Sandra Weinacht from Incantato Tours who organized the tour.
