During today’s Sunday Mass at the Basilica of Xagħra, the sacrament of baptism was administerd. The newborn baby of Joanne and Andrew Sultana was welcomed as a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Schola Cantorum Jubilate under the direction of Mark Gauci performed ‘Ejja Divin Messija’, ‘Allelulia’, ‘O Come o come Emanuel’ and ‘Alma Redemptoris Mater’, all hymns suitable for the Advent Period.
For recessional, the choir performed ‘O Sanctissima’, a Sicilian Marian Hymn. This last hymn was performed in honour of the Immaculate Conception.
