Just few days before Christmas, the SCJ Children’s Choir and the SCJ Youths are enthusiastically preparing for most expected celebration of the year. They will be collaborating with the Echo Sting Ensemble for a memorable joined musical adventure.
The repertoire ventures through Christmas music written specifically for younger voices. It includes Fum, fum, fum, a Catalonian Carol, How far is it to Bethlehem arranged by Sterling and some other popular carols like Handel’s Joy to the World, Silent Night, Is-Sinfonija Pastorali and Ding dong merrily on high! Both the choir and the ensemble will be singing or playing various pieces on their own or else joined together. The Echo String Ensemble are all students trained by Emese Toth and David Lang. This concert will be under the direction of Marouska Attard.
After the concert, some delightful Christmas treats will be served and a collection will be held in aid of The Malta Trust Foundation chaired by H.E. Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, former President of Malta. This foundation provides initiatives that support children and young people who are facing challenges and are at risk of poverty or social exclusion.
We invite you to join us for an afternoon Christmas Concert at the Grand Hotel in Ghajnsielem on Sunday 15th December at 3.30pm. This event is free of charge, but booking is necessary. You can book your seats by filling the form through this link.
